USA Hockey and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) are getting ready to celebrate World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend! Join USA Hockey and hockey communities October 16-18, 2026, as we celebrate girls’ hockey and continue growing the game.
Last year, we celebrated Girls Hockey Weekend with over 100 host sites, as the largest nation to participate in WGIHW! Register for the Girls Hockey Weekend to be eligible for giveaways! All girls-specific events hosted in October will be included in the Girls Growth Initiative.
New this year — check out our newly updated World Girls Hockey Weekend Promotional Toolkit! The toolkit includes social media tips, ready-to-use captions, hashtags, promotional ideas and other resources to help you spread the word and build excitement around your event.
Planning to capture photos or videos during your event? Quality photos may have the opportunity to be featured in USA Hockey editorials and other content. Check out the toolkit for photo ideas and best practices to help you capture great moments throughout the weekend.
Don’t have ice time? There are still plenty of ways to get involved! Visit our World Girls Hockey Weekend website for additional ideas and resources to help your association celebrate.
